Plain-English terms for ordering from Forged Performance Parts. The short version: everything is custom-made for you, so there are no change-of-mind returns, but if anything is faulty or not as described, you're fully covered under the Australian Consumer Law.
Forged Performance Parts ("we", "us") is an Australian online store based in Rutherford, NSW, selling custom carbon fibre steering wheels, and integrated LED display wheels at forgedperformanceparts.com.au. You can reach us any time at forgedperformanceparts@gmail.com. By placing an order you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If a product is faulty, not as described, or doesn't meet a consumer guarantee, you are entitled to a remedy, which may be a repair, replacement or refund depending on the problem. For a major failure you can choose a replacement or a refund.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Where any part of these terms is inconsistent with the law, the law wins.
Almost everything we sell is built to order to the specification you choose, for your specific vehicle. Because production starts just for you, we don't offer refunds, returns or exchanges for change of mind, including where:

We build your order to the specification you selected or later confirmed with us by email. If something in your order looks unclear, we may contact you to confirm before production starts.
All prices are in Australian dollars and include free tracked shipping within Australia. Payment is processed securely by Square (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Afterpay where eligible, which is subject to Afterpay's own terms). We never see or store your card details.
Your order is confirmed once payment has been received and checked. Discount codes are subject to their own conditions: some apply only to certain products, some can't be combined, and codes can be withdrawn at any time. If a product is listed at an obviously wrong price because of an error, we'll contact you before building, and you can choose to pay the correct price or receive a full refund.
If you find the same steering wheel (same vehicle fit, carbon type, finish and options) currently advertised for less by another Australian business, send us a link to the listing before you pay and we'll match that advertised price, including shipping. The price match applies to new orders before payment, one per order, and can't be combined with discount codes. We may ask for proof the offer is genuine and current, and it doesn't apply to second-hand items, auctions or obvious pricing errors.
You can cancel your order for a full refund within 24 hours of paying, as long as production hasn't started. Email us as soon as possible with your order number (it starts with FPP-).
After 24 hours your order is usually confirmed with our workshop and materials are committed, so we generally can't accept cancellations after that point. This doesn't limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including where we can't supply your order within a reasonable time.
Our products are made to order and aren't held as finished stock. Build and delivery currently takes approximately 6–8 weeks from payment. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed delivery date, and can vary with the product, your options, production workload and freight.
We'll keep you updated along the way. If your order is significantly delayed, please contact us and we'll work with you on an appropriate resolution. A delay doesn't automatically entitle you to cancel a custom order, but nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law if goods aren't supplied within a reasonable time.
We ship free, tracked, anywhere in Australia. We don't offer local pickup. Please make sure your address is correct; we're not responsible for orders delivered to an incorrect address you supplied.
Please inspect your order as soon as possible after delivery. If anything looks damaged in transit, email us within 7 days if you can, with photos of the product, the packaging and the shipping label, and we'll investigate and arrange a solution. Please don't fit a damaged item.
Carbon fibre is hand-finished, so small cosmetic variations between wheels are normal. Forged carbon is made from randomly distributed carbon strands, so no two forged wheels have the same pattern. Colours can also look slightly different on different screens and in different lighting.
Product photos are representative. Where a listing uses an example photo (for example of our carbon finish on a different model), we say so on the listing. These natural variations aren't defects unless they materially affect the quality, function or agreed specification of your product.
LED display features (such as RPM, speed, temperatures and shift lights) depend on your vehicle and its available data, and readings are for reference only. Always rely on your vehicle's factory instruments and warning lights for anything safety-related.
Steering wheels and airbags are safety equipment. Our wheels do not include an airbag: your factory airbag is removed from your original wheel and refitted by your installer. We do not supply, modify, inspect or test your airbag, and we cannot guarantee how any airbag will perform once it has been removed and refitted.
Your product must be fitted by a qualified professional, such as an auto electrician or mechanic, following the vehicle manufacturer's procedures (including disconnecting the battery before handling the airbag). After fitting, check that your airbag warning light behaves normally; if it stays on, do not drive the vehicle until it has been checked.
Please inspect your product before fitting and contact us straight away if you think something is wrong. Do not fit a product that appears damaged. To the extent permitted by law, we're not responsible for loss, damage or injury caused by incorrect installation, modification, misuse, or use contrary to these terms.
Our products are sold for off-road, track and show use only. They are not certified to the Australian Design Rules (ADRs) or any other vehicle safety standard, and we make no claim that they are suitable or lawful for use on public roads.
Fitting an aftermarket steering wheel to a registered vehicle may be a vehicle modification that needs approval in your state or territory, may make the vehicle unroadworthy, and may affect or void your insurance. If you choose to fit or use a product on a vehicle driven on public roads, you do so at your own risk and it is your responsibility to check the rules with your state transport authority and your insurer first.
To the extent permitted by law, we're not responsible for fines, registration issues, insurance consequences, or any loss, damage or injury arising from a product being used on public roads or contrary to these terms.
If you have any issue with your order, please email us first. Most problems can be sorted out quickly, and we want you to be happy with your build.
If a payment dispute or chargeback is raised, we may provide the payment provider with relevant information such as your order details and selected specifications, our emails with you, production records, tracking and delivery details, and these terms.
To the extent permitted by law, and except for the guarantees and remedies you have under the Australian Consumer Law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of our products or website.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you place your order applies to that order. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
