Privacy Policy

What we collect

We only collect what we need to build, ship and support your order:

Order details: your name, email, phone number, shipping address, order notes and the build specification you choose.
Designs you send us: images and details for LED start-up screens.
Emails and messages you send us.
Mailing list: your email address, if you choose to join.
Basic website statistics: anonymous page-view data (see below).

We never see or store your card details. Payments are handled entirely by Square.

How we use it

to build, ship and track your order, and to contact you about it;
to answer your questions and provide after-sales support;
to send our mailing list emails, only if you've signed up (you can unsubscribe any time);
to keep records for accounting, tax and legal purposes, and to respond to payment disputes;
to understand how our website is used so we can improve it.

We don't sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the services we use to run the store, and only as needed:

Square (payments, including Afterpay), which receives your name, contact details, shipping address and order details to process your payment;
Formspree, the form service that emails your order and mailing-list details to us;
Our workshop / manufacturing partner, which receives your build specification and, where needed for shipping, your delivery details;
Freight and courier companies, which receive your name, address and phone number to deliver your order;
Cloudflare, which hosts our website and provides privacy-friendly analytics;
Google (Gmail, which we use for email, and Google Fonts on our website).

Some of these providers store data overseas, including in the United States. We use reputable providers with their own privacy and security protections. We may also disclose information where required by law.

Cookies and analytics

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Our website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you. Your browser's local storage is used to remember your cart and any discount code you've applied; this stays on your device. The fitting video on our Falcon pages uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, which doesn't set cookies until you press play.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as needed for your warranty and support, and for our tax and legal obligations (generally at least 5 years). Mailing list details are kept until you unsubscribe.

Keeping it safe

Your information is stored in secure, password-protected accounts with our providers, and our website runs over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or unsubscribe from our emails, by emailing forgedperformanceparts@gmail.com. We'll respond within a reasonable time (usually within 30 days). Some records may need to be kept for legal reasons.

If you have a privacy concern, please email us first. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
